CVIJANOVIĆ: VIOLENCE CANNOT BE AN ACCEPTABLE MEANS OF POLITICAL STRUGGLE

ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, APRIL 26 /SRNA/ - The Serb member of the Presidency of BiH Željka Cvijanović, stated that she was shocked by the news of the armed attack on the President of the United States Donald Trump, his family, and associates, adding that violence cannot be an acceptable means of political struggle.

"I strongly condemn this horrific act,0" Cvijanović wrote on the social network X.

According to her, a positive circumstance is that the attacker did not succeed in his intention and that no one was killed in this treacherous attack.

"I hope for the speedy recovery of the injured member of the security detail. Violence is not and cannot be an acceptable means of political struggle," Cvijanović added.

At the annual dinner of the White House Correspondents' Association, attended by Trump, an armed man identified as Cole Thomas Allen /31/ fired multiple shots, after which all those present were evacuated.

Police stated that the attacker was "armed with a shotgun, a pistol, and multiple knives," and that the suspect and police "exchanged fire," during which one member of the security forces was shot in protective gear.

The suspect in the shooting at the Hilton hotel in Washington admitted to authorities that his targets were Trump officials, sources familiar with the investigation said.
