EAST SARAJEVO, JULY 17 /SRNA/ – The Serb member and Chairperson of the BiH Presidency, Željka Cvijanović, asked since when the EU supports such interventions that are contrary to its fundamental self-proclaimed principles.
When asked by SRNA to comment on the EU statement in which they said that the intervention by the so-called High Representative was necessary and represented the only remaining option to ensure the “functionality of key democratic institutions,” and that they strongly support preserving the integrity of the electoral process and citizens’ trust in “democratic procedures” in BiH, Cvijanović asked how could there be democratic institutions and procedures if an unelected foreigner imposed decisions?
“This is totally disappointing and sends a bad message to citizens to hear something like this coming from the EU, especially since they are welcoming something in BiH that two-thirds of EU member states do not apply,” Cvijanović emphasized.
