LAKTAŠI, JANUARY 27 /SRNA/ – The Serb member of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović has stated that the intention of political Sarajevo is to destabilize Republika Srpska, noting that this is confirmed by the request submitted by the SDA and the Democratic Front to the Constitutional Court of BiH to review the constitutionality of the election of the new Republika Srpska Government.
"It is clear that these actions are unfolding continuously, and that the intention of political Sarajevo is also for Republika Srpska to be left without institutions, which will not happen," Cvijanović stressed.
Speaking to reporters in Laktaši, she said that the malicious intent of political Sarajevo was also evident in the judicial process that was politically directed against the President of Republika Srpska.
"When we talk about this, it is clear that a legal attack was carried out by Christian Schmidt and all those who decided and believe that an individual can be placed above institutions. Many other developments have stemmed from this, including raising the question of whether the previous Government of Republika Srpska was constitutional and legal. Now this narrative is continuing, and it would not surprise me if they move on to attacks against the National Assembly as well," Cvijanović stated.
She emphasized that Republika Srpska has an obligation to defend itself against such actions.
"So far, we have done this successfully, and that will continue. It is extremely important for Republika Srpska to remain united, meaning both citizens and institutions, when it comes to defending against attacks. These are various forms of machinations, and nothing is happening by chance. It is enough to look at the electoral process, which they are not allowing to be completed, and it is clear that intrigues with certain political structures are aimed at harming Republika Srpska," Cvijanović said.
