ISTOČNO SARAJEVO, JULY 3 /SRNA/ - The Serb member of the Presidency of BiH, Željka Cvijanović, said that, instead of protecting the Constitution, the Constitutional Court is protecting the unconstitutional actions of an unelected foreigner, stressing that no form of physical or judicial violence can override the democratically expressed will of the people.

"An unelected foreigner is imposing laws instead of having them passed by parliament, while the Constitutional Court, instead of protecting the Constitution, is protecting that foreigner’s unconstitutional actions," Cvijanović wrote on X.

She added that such a situation exists only in BiH.

"However, they should know that no form of physical or judicial violence, nor any form of persecution, can override the democratically expressed will of the people," Cvijanović said.

The truncated Constitutional Court of BiH ruled that Christian Schmidt's amendments to the Criminal Code of BiH are “in accordance with the Constitution of BiH and the European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms.”
