CVIJANOVIĆ: BiH FAR FROM THE DAYTON CONCEPT NOWADAYS

SARAJEVO, NOVEMBER 9 /SRNA/ – The Serb BiH Presidency member, Željka Cvijanović, said that BiH was created as a compromise, but that it is now far from the Dayton concept.

Cvijanović stated that it is impossible for BiH to function nowadays as it was written in the Dayton Peace Agreement, because political power is divided according to the principle of equality, not based on demography or territory.

"The Dayton Peace Agreement states that we are all equal. Today, BiH is much further even from those who once aspired to that idea," Cvijanović emphasized.

According to her, given the way global relations are developing today, BiH is not a dominant topic.

"I would like to send a message, and I say this to the people of Republika Srpska as well, that they should never feel too relaxed. They must understand that certain trends are changing," Cvijanović said.

She also stated that 49 percent of the territory belongs to Republika Srpska, which, she emphasized, will not accept what is grotesque.
