CONSULTATIONS WITH RUSSIA ON INVESTMENT PROTECTION AGREEMENT HAVE BEGUN

SARAJEVO, JULY 29 /SRNA/ – The Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations in the Council of Ministers of BiH has officially launched consultations with the Russian side on signing Agreement on the Promotion and Protection of Investments between BiH and the Russian Federation, Minister Staša Košarac announced.

“Signing this agreement would be mutually beneficial and would have a positive effect, providing new momentum to economic cooperation,” Košarac emphasized.

He said he was encouraged by Russia’s expressed commitment and readiness to actively work on this matter, in the spirit of excellent bilateral cooperation and friendship.

Košarac expressed hope that competent BiH institutions would act responsibly and support the signing of this important agreement with Russia.

“Russia is our traditional friend, with whom we have no open political issues. Good political relations are the foundation for enhancing and further strengthening bilateral cooperation in all areas. Signing an agreement on investment promotion and protection is an excellent step forward in that direction,” he posted on Instagram.
