BANJA LUKA, April 28 /SRNA/ – Secretary General of the European Alliance of National Movements Valerio Cignetti told SRNA that it is unacceptable in the 21st century for someone to have the ability to impose laws and for parliaments not to question such decisions, emphasizing that this could have consequences.
"This is not acceptable. You have the right, in your own country, to decide which laws you must respect. It is unacceptable for someone to impose laws. You must find a way to cooperate, and if that is not possible, then this is the best solution – when a man and a woman cannot reach an agreement, they must get divorced," Cignetti said in response to a question about whether it is normal for someone in BiH to be able to impose laws without parliamentary procedure.
Asked whether such a BiH has a future in the EU, Cignetti stressed that the real question is whether the EU in its current form has a future.
"Europe is one thing, and the European Union is another - they are not the same. Europe will certainly have a future, but as for the future of this kind of EU and Brussels, I honestly don’t see any good future for them. However, I truly believe and hope that Europe itself will have a future," Cignetti said.
He added that only strong European politics can be the key to stopping conflicts in the East.
"We are in Europe. The conflict between Russia and Ukraine is in Europe, and in my opinion, we need strong European policies. As you can see, everyone is doing what they want - Italy goes in one direction, Hungary in another, France in yet another," Cignetti emphasized.
