BUDIMIR: SULJAGIĆ ATTEMPTS TO EQUATE SREBRENICA WITH JASENOVAC

BANJA LUKA, MARCH 30 /SRNA/ – The letter sent by the director of the Srebrenica Memorial Centre Emir Suljagić to the special envoy of the US President, Yehuda Kaploun, represents an attempt to equate Srebrenica with Jasenovac, which undermines relations within BiH, said Željko Budimir, a professor of international relations.

"Everything here is politicized; now there is an attempt to equate Srebrenica with Jasenovac. Bringing such matters into daily politics harms relations within BiH," Budimir told the press in Banja Luka.

He stressed that the FBiH political elite proves that nothing within BiH is sacred to them.

Budimir said that narratives coming from the FBiH portray Republika Srpska as if it had no victims at all, or that, if it did, those victims somehow deserved it.

"That is official Sarajevo's position toward the Serbs," Budimir emphasized.
