BRANDY, WINES AND HANDICRAFTS FROM SRPSKA ATTRACT ATTENTION AT SHINING FAIR

SHINING, JULY 2 /SRNA/ – BiH was the guest of honor at the 26th International China-Qinghai Investment and Trade Fair, held in the city of Shining, where particular attention was attracted by the products of the companies “Agrodestil” from Laktaši, “MP Impeks” from Banja Luka, as well as wines from the wineries “Tvrdoš” from Trebinje and “Čitluk,” the BiH Embassy in Beijing stated.

During the five days of the Fair, the BiH stand was visited by a large number of guests from various countries, as well as representatives of the Chinese business sector, resulting in numerous contacts and potential opportunities for future cooperation.

At the Fair, held from June 25 to 30, BiH presented the country’s tourist potentials at its own stand, as well as domestic products such as wine, brandy, honey, handicrafts, and confectionery.

One of the most notable elements at the BiH stand was the authentic mascot “Bogovi”, inspired by the country’s cultural and traditional symbols – the Old Bridge in Višegrad, coffee, Sarajevo-Romanija traditional knitted slippers, Zmijanje embroidery, and Bosnian kilim rugs.

The mascot attracted great interest from visitors and was one of the most photographed at the Fair, the Embassy noted.

The Shining Fair, held in the main administrative centre of one of China’s largest provinces – Qinghai, focused on the theme of “Green Development,” discussed in detail at specialised conferences.

BiH Ambassador to China Siniša Berjan, addressing the opening ceremony of the Fair, emphasised the importance of sustainable economic growth and presented BiH’s experiences and potentials in this field.

Berjan also chaired the meeting with the Party Secretary and Governor of Qinghai Province on behalf of all foreign diplomats present.

Within the Fair, a highly attended Economic Forum was held, at which Ambassador Berjan gave the introductory speech, presenting BiH’s investment potentials as well as its comparative economic advantages.

In addition to BiH, speakers included representatives of Mexico, which also held guest of honor status, as well as numerous Chinese and international business leaders.

“BiH’s presence at this prestigious Fair attracted significant media attention in China, bringing BiH once again into the public focus as a reliable and promising partner on the international economic scene,” the statement said.

The main organiser of the Fair was the Government of Qinghai Province, and BiH was the guest of honor thanks to the active engagement of the BiH Embassy.
