EAST SARAJEVO, JULY 29 /SRNA/ – Member of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Miroslav Vujičić, stated that Bosniak political representatives systematically abuse BiH institutions, undermining national balance and the principle of equality among peoples, which seriously threatens the stability and survival of BiH.

Vujičić emphasized that this represents a "completely one-sided approach that has nothing to do with reality," pointing out that most abuses regarding ethnic self-identification and employment within joint institutions are coming from Bosniak officials.

“BiH can only survive by respecting all three constituent peoples and the ethnic ratios defined by the 1991 census and the most recent census, which has never been officially accepted,” Vujičić told SRNA.

He has noted that Serbs are being systematically marginalized when it comes to employment in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the BiH Embassy in Washington, and in the Bosniak member’s office of the Presidency.

“The issue is complex and must be approached from multiple angles. Instead, there is an abuse of ethnic self-identification within institutions. At one moment they declare themselves as Bosniaks, then as ‘Others,’ then as Serbs or Croats, depending on what suits them,” said Vujičić.

He also cited the case of Slaven Kovačević, advisor to the Croat member of the BiH Presidency, who sued BiH, as a typical example of abuse.

“At one point, he declared himself a Croat, then a Serb, then ‘Other.’ This is a clear-cut abuse,” Vujičić stressed.

According to him, Bosniak MPs in the House of Representatives are raising this issue to strengthen their own positions and those of their political parties.

“These national issues are the easiest way to score political points, especially by attacking Republika Srpska, something Bosniak politicians constantly do,” says Vujičić.
