SOKOLAC, MARCH 28 /SRNA/ - Christian Schmidt has dismantled institutions in BiH and caused a political crisis that has revealed that Croats, just like Bosniaks, have their vision of BiH and are willing to make calculations when it comes to the Dayton Agreement, the Constitution, and the rights of Serbs and Republika Srpska, but their plan will not succeed, the Mayor of Sokolac Strahinja Bašević told SRNA.
Bašević added that they seem to have forgotten how they have been deceived for years by those same Bosniaks, who tricked them into accepting a Croat who was a greater Muslim than all Muslims combined, and now they have agreed to impose Serbian "Komšićs" on us in an accelerated manner.
"Whatever the other two constituent peoples in BiH may do or try, they cannot annul the Serbs or the will of the Serbian people, who did not elect traitors as their representatives, with whom they are now making deals and trading to the detriment of Serbs.
The SNSD is the largest and strongest party in Republika Srpska and BiH. The choice made by the Serbian people cannot be annulled by someone like Christian Schmidt, nor the Croatian or Bosniak parties. The decisions about the Serbian people and Republika Srpska will be made by those they have elected," Bašević said.
He reminded that Muslims elected representatives for Croats, and now they want to elect representatives for Serbs, which is a clear indication that they have learned nothing from the crises caused by such anti-constitutional abuses.
"For BiH to function, the legitimate representatives of Serbs, Croats, and Bosniaks must make decisions together through dialogue. As long as this does not happen, there will be no BiH, and this is what both the Constitution and the Dayton Agreement say.
"Peace, stability, and functional joint institutions of BiH cannot be built without the legitimately elected representatives of the Serbs, which is what the Bosniaks, together with the Croats, are currently trying to achieve," emphasized Bašević.
He said that the Serbian people have clearly understood the messages from the Croats, both now and when the president of the HDZ Dragan Čović addressed the Republika Srpska National Assembly, saying, "Let's protect Republika Srpska."
"We not only protect Republika Srpska, we also protect the Dayton Agreement and constitutional BiH. In such a BiH, the joint institutions should function within the framework of the law, not based on orders and instructions from fake high representatives and those who would impose on Serbs how they should live in BiH.
The SNSD will never agree to such a thing, and the HDZ can make agreements with whomever they want, but it will not succeed. You will not impose anything on the Serbs, nor take anything from them," Bašević said.
