BANJA LUKA, MARCH 26 /SRNA/ - The Permanent Mission of BiH in New York is completely privatized under the baton of the ambassador Zlatko Lagumdžija, who continues with violations of all law and constitutional procedures and works exclusively in the interest of Sarajevo politicians, said the article published by Glas Srpske.
"It could be seen from the most recent example, when /Serb member and/ the Chairwoman of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović sent a letter to the Permanent Mission of BiH in UN that Lagumdžija should have forwarded to the missions of the member countries of the UN Security Council. Instead of the Permanent Mission in New York being a service for the forwarding of diplomatic correspondence, this was not done under the strict supervision of Lagumdžija," the article reads.
It is added that with this, the ambassador once again showed that he works exclusively according to the instructions that come to him from the Bosniak and Croat members of the BiH Presidency, Denis Bećirović and Željko Komšić.
From the response of the Permanent Mission of BiH to the UN, after a letter was forwarded to them from the Cabinet of the Chairperson of BiH Presidency, one can see an attempt to train rigor, but also an arrogance that does not befit an ambassador.
"The Permanent Mission and Lagumdžija remain unreservedly committed to representing the interests of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the UN, acting according to established and prescribed constitutional and legal competencies. This time you directly delivered the letter in question, so re-sending it would be considered redundant. Do not use this diplomatic-consular office to legitimize the continuous undermining and violation of the integrity of BiH," reads the reply of the Permanent Mission of BiH to the UN.
The Cabinet of the Presidency of BiH responded that "it has become extremely difficult and regrettable when you constantly repeat that you respect the constitutional and legal competences, that you defend the interests of BiH in the UN, and with reason we ask if you only see BiH through the lens of one member of the BiH Presidency?"
"In your illegal acts, you intentionally ignore the fact that the Presidency is a collective body and thus decides in the field of foreign policy," the Cabinet of the Serb member and Chairperson of the BiH Presidency reminded the Permanent Mission and Lagumdžija.
They said that the Presidency is the highest collective body of the executive power of BiH and that the Constitution clearly says that the Presidency is responsible for conducting foreign policy, appointing ambassadors and representing BiH in international organizations and institutions.
"By your impudent and undiplomatic behavior of not forwarding diplomatic correspondence, you are committing a criminal offense and our reaction in this regard will certainly not fail, and this illegal behavior of yours will be sanctioned with a criminal report. Your unconstitutional behavior only further shows the impossibility and failure of BiH," it was stated, among other things, in the response to the Permanent Mission of BiH to the UN from the Cabinet of the Serb member and Chairperson of the BiH Presidency, which Glas Srpske had access to.
Political scientist Vojislav Savić states that Lagumdžija's behavior shows what has been pointed out for years.
"The Bosniak political establishment wants to privatize the state, and in this case, it is doing so by skipping and bypassing common institutions and official procedures. Instead of being a service of the Presidency of BiH, Lagumdžija behaves as if there is only one person in that Presidency and represents several cantons with a Bosniak majority," Savić told Glas Srpske.
He pointed out that there is no country in the world whose ambassador in some country is arguing with the head of the state through the media or even arrogantly responding in the official dispatches.
"BiH is rotten inside and changes are inevitable, this way or another," Savić concluded.
Officials of Republika Srpska have stated on several occasions that Zlatko Lagumdžija is one of the culprits for the bad relationship between Banja Luka and Sarajevo. He contributes to such a bad relationship, first of all, in the way that since he has been the Head of the Permanent Mission to the UN, he has been spreading lies about Srpska and its leadership, it is stated in the text.
Serb member and Chairwoman of the BiH Presidency Željka Cvijanović warned on several occasions that Lagumdžija forwards letters from Željko Komšić and Denis Bećirović, but refuses to forward hers.
