APPEAL TO REMOVE FOOTAGE OF HELICOPTER CRASH

BRČKO, NOVEMBER 1 /SRNA/ - The Brčko District Police and EUFOR have issued a joint appeal to the media and the public to remove footage and photographs of the recent helicopter crash from news websites and social media.

The appeal stresses that publishing content showing EUFOR personnel and civilians further hurts the families of those affected and undermines the dignity of the victims.

Police and EUFOR are calling for responsible conduct and reminding the public of the possible legal consequences of further sharing such material. They have also appealed to the public to respect the grief of the families, who need peace and privacy most at this difficult time.

Four soldiers from the Italian contingent were killed and 11 injured when an EUFOR helicopter crashed in the Gorice neighbourhood of Brčko.
