ZAKHAROVA: MOSCOW EXPECTS COOPERATION WITH BELGRADE TO CONTINUE AFTER ELECTIONS

MOSCOW, OCTOBER 21 /SRNA/ - Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Moscow expected to maintain good cooperation with the new government to be formed in Belgrade following the upcoming parliamentary elections in Serbia. "Preparations for the parliamentary elections in Serbia are proceeding in accordance with the applicable constitutional procedures. We expect Serbia's new government to continue pursuing mutually beneficial and equal cooperation with Russia," Zakharova said. She previously announced that Russia would send a delegation comprising representatives of both chambers of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the Russian Central Election Commission to observe the elections. Parliamentary elections in Serbia will be held on Sunday, October 25.
