WASHINGTON AND TEHRAN AGREE ON DRAFT AGREEMENT, AWAITING TRUMP'S APPROVAL

WASHINGTON, MAY 28 /SRNA - RIA Novosti/ - The US and Iran have agreed on a draft agreement under which the parties will negotiate on contentious issues in the next two months, the Axios portal reports, citing unnamed US officials, noting that US

President Donald Trump has not yet officially approved the draft.

The report states that Trump wants a few days to decide whether to approve the memorandum of understanding between the two sides.

Axios points out that the draft includes a promise by Tehran not to pursue nuclear weapons, while the first issues to be negotiated during the 60-day period would include the disposal of Iran's highly enriched uranium and arrangements related to uranium enrichment.
