WARSAW, NOVEMBER 3 /SRNA/ – A flight from London made an unscheduled landing at Warsaw Modlin Airport, the smaller of the city's two airports, following a bomb threat.
TVN24 television reported that the airport had been temporarily closed.
Media reports said the aircraft, carrying 181 passengers and crew members, departed from London early this morning and was originally scheduled to land at the larger Warsaw Chopin Airport.
However, the aircraft was diverted to Modlin after an alert was raised during the flight indicating that there was a bomb on board, DPA reported.
An unnamed airport spokesperson said that, after landing, the aircraft was moved to a remote stand, where it is currently being inspected by specialists.
