MOSCOW, OCTOBER 12 /SRNA-RIA Novosti/ - Ukraine is now occupied by the collective West, which treats its people as expendable, Russian State Duma Chairperson Vyacheslav Volodin said.
"The collective West does not need an independent Ukraine. That is not why they took control of it, and that is why they are doing everything they can to maintain their influence, including through weapons and ammunition," Volodin said.
According to him, countries putting forward proposals to end the conflict in Ukraine must understand that the country has become a "concentration camp" run by Volodymyr Zelensky and the so-called coalition of the willing.
He added that Zelensky was avoiding presidential elections under various pretexts, while Ukraine's political system had been destroyed.
