TRUMP: WASHINGTON COULD IMPOSE ADDITIONAL SANCTIONS ON TEHRAN

WASHINGTON, AUGUST 19 /SRNA - RIA Novosti/ - US President Donald Trump said that the United States could impose additional economic pressure on Iran, in addition to the harsh sanctions already in place.

"There are more things that we could sanction. We have a very draconian package of sanctions ready, and we will see what happens," Trump told the press.

In today’s interview, the US president left open the possibility of continuing negotiations with Iran, but said that for now he remains committed to continuing the sanctions and naval blockade.
