TRUMP SUPPORTS BAN ON DIESEL EXPORTS

WASHINGTON, SEPTEMBER 22 /SRNA-Reuters/ - US President Donald Trump said he supports the idea of banning diesel exports.

“I said we should not be exporting diesel, which we produce in large quantities,” Trump said ahead of a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Trump said he would discuss Ukraine’s attacks on Russian oil refineries with Zelensky, noting that while the attacks are causing significant damage to Russia, they are also affecting the diesel supply as a whole.

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, who was with Trump at the same meeting, said the administration was considering whether a similar ban on diesel exports would be feasible and whether a full or partial ban would be effective.
