TRUMP: RECORD OIL MOVEMENT THROUGH HORMUZ OVERNIGHT

WASHINGTON, SEPTEMBER 27 /SRNA-RIA Novosti/ - The United States transported a record amount of oil through the Strait of Hormuz overnight, exceeding levels recorded before the conflict in the Middle East, US President Donald Trump said.

"Last night, we moved a record amount of oil out of the Strait of Hormuz, more than we were moving before the war," Trump told reporters at the White House.

He did not specify the amount of oil transported.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Friday that Tehran had proposed to Washington, through intermediaries, a seven-day plan to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

Trump said yesterday that he had rejected the plan.

Iran is currently enforcing a blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, while the United States is blockading Iran's coast and ports.
