TRUMP: I HOPE TO MEET KIM THIS YEAR

WASHINGTON, AUGUST 19 /SRNA - RIA Novosti/ - US President Donald Trump says he is ready to meet with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un sometime this year.

Trump also said that the two of them get along well.

"He has 57 very powerful nuclear weapons. That never should have been allowed, but he has them," he said.

On August 16, Trump ordered US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth to reduce the scale of military exercises with South Korea, saying he did not consider them necessary because they send Pyongyang a completely inappropriate and hostile signal.
