TRUMP: I HAVE RIGHT TO RUN FOR THIRD TERM

WASHINGTON, OCTOBER 23 /SRNA - RIA Novosti/ - US President Donald Trump has said he should be allowed to run for a third presidential term because the results of the 2020 election were rigged.

"I think I have the right to run again because they cheated," Trump said at a rally in Iowa.

According to him, he has won elections three times, but the constitutional limit on the number of presidential terms leaves no room for a different interpretation.

The next US presidential election is scheduled to take place in 2028.

Trump served as US president from 2017 to 2021. In November 2024, he won the presidential election again and took office on January 20, 2025, becoming the 47th president of the United States.

Under the 22nd Amendment to the US Constitution, no person may be elected president more than twice.

In 2020, Trump claimed that the US presidential election had been rigged after Joseph Biden was elected president.
