TRUMP CALLS GREENLAND THE MOST BEAUTIFUL GIFT EVER GIVEN TO AMERICA

WASHINGTON, NOVEMBER 3 /SRNA/ – President Donald Trump said Greenland is the most beautiful gift America has ever received, Politico reported.

"Europe just gave America the most beautiful gift, and that's Greenland. We just got Greenland," Trump said.

His remarks came after Greenland's parliament earlier in the day ratified a security agreement reached with Trump.

The United States, Denmark and Greenland signed the deal in September to ease tensions after Trump repeatedly threatened to take control of the strategically important island.

The agreement expands the US military's role in Greenland and paves the way for two new military bases and the "Golden Dome" missile defense system, while affirming Danish sovereignty and the Arctic island's right to self-determination. It takes effect once both Denmark and Greenland have ratified it.
