TRUMP ANNOUNCES NEW STRIKES ON IRAN

WASHINGTON, JUNE 11 /SRNA - RIA Novosti/ - US Central Command will carry out another round of air strikes on Iran tonight, which will be "bigger and more powerful" than the previous ones, US President Donald Trump said.

"Yes, there will be more bombing tonight. They will be even bigger, more powerful. Don't forget, we destroyed all their anti-aircraft missiles. They have nothing. I mean, they might get lucky with a weapon on their shoulder or something, but for the most part, they have no defense," Trump told Fox News.

He stressed that the US could completely take over Iran, but that he did not want to deploy troops on the Iranian mainland.

Trump said that he had always wanted to take over the Iranian island of Kharg, but that he was not sure if the US had the courage for such an action.

He reiterated his desire to reach a deal with Iran as soon as possible, in "less than three or four weeks," noting that Tehran is "desperate to make a deal".

Trump noted that critics are already complaining about the three-month-long US intervention and that they are "going crazy".
