ATHENS, MAY 17 /SRNA/ - Large quantities of cocaine and cannabis, with an estimated street value of over 400,000 Euros, have been seized in Greece, and three men have been arrested in Athens on drug trafficking charges.
A total of around 11 kilograms of cocaine and 38 kilograms of cannabis were discovered.
The suspects, aged 36, 53, and 56, were detained following surveillance, intelligence gathering, and profiling, according to “Kathimerini”.
Investigators said that the 36-year-old was seen on May 14 delivering a bag to the 53-year-old containing more than two kilograms of hydroponic cannabis and one kilogram of processed cannabis, allegedly acting on behalf of the 56-year-old.
Shortly afterwards, police located the 56-year-old in another part of Athens and found cocaine intended for distribution.
Police said that nearly 11 kilograms of cocaine, along with additional processed and raw cannabis, were found in the home of the 36-year-old, while 17.5 kilograms of hydroponic cannabis were seized from the home of the 53-year-old.
Authorities estimated the street value of the drugs at more than 400,000 Euros.
