TEHRAN TO INCREASE RANGE OF ITS MISSILES

TEHRAN, OCTOBER 4 /SRNA - RIA Novosti/ - Iran has decided to increase the range of its missiles due to the conflict with the United States, Iranian Army spokesman Mohammad Akraminia said.

"During this war, we concluded that we definitely need to improve the range of our missiles, and we have now embarked on that path," Akraminia told the Fars news agency.

Iran possesses an arsenal of medium-range missiles, which were used during the conflict with the United States that began on February 28, including missiles with a range of up to 2,000 kilometers.

In March, media reported that Iran had attacked a British base on Diego Garcia island in the Indian Ocean, which is more than 5,000 kilometers from Tehran. Tehran did not confirm the report at the time.
