TANKER LOADED WITH CHEMICALS ON FIRE

BUCHAREST, OCTOBER 15 /SRNA - RIA Novosti/ - A tanker sailing under the flag of San Marino issued a distress signal after a fire broke out off Romania's Black Sea coast, Romanian media reported.

The tanker is located near the port of Sulina in Romania's Tulcea County, where air raid sirens are regularly sounded due to the presence of unmanned aerial vehicles.

According to preliminary information, the distress signal was activated in the early hours of the morning.

Some reports indicate that the tanker is carrying chemical substances, while the cause of the fire remains unknown.
