STARMER RESIGNS AS LABOUR PARTY LEADER

LONDON, JUNE 22 /SRNA/ - British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has resigned as leader of the Labour Party, Reuters reports.

Starmer announced the decision in an address to reporters outside the prime minister's office in London.

He promised to do everything to ensure that the transfer of power is carried out properly.

Starmer added that he informed the British King Charles III of his decision this morning.
