SOUTHERN XINJIANG - HOME TO ANCIENT BUDDHIST TEMPLES

BEIJING, SEPTEMBER 24 /SRNA/ - Southern Xinjiang is a crossroads of the Silk Road, as well as home to ancient Buddhist caves, red rocks and tranquil wetlands, the China Media Group reported.

"It is a place where traditional bread is kneaded, clay is transformed into art, and thousand-year-old medicine is still used for healing today," says a video report titled "On Ancient Silk Road Path – Discover Southern Xinjiang".

In this part of China, songs and dances, accompanied by traditional string instruments, have been passed down from generation to generation.

"This is southern Xinjiang, part of China's largest autonomous region," the China Media Group video report says.
