KARAN: BLUE GRAVE REMAINS DEEPLY ROOTED IN COLLECTIVE MEMORY OF SERB PEOPLE

CORFU, SEPTEMBER 24 /SRNA/ – Republika Srpska President Siniša Karan said today that the Blue Grave remains a vow engraved in the collective memory of the Serb people.

Karan, who laid a wreath at the Blue Grave between the islands of Corfu and Vido, said that from those shores, after immense suffering, Serbian soldiers once again closed ranks and marched relentlessly toward their homeland and the freedom they had long dreamed of.

He stressed that the site is a place to pay tribute to fallen ancestors and to bear witness that their sacrifice continues to live in the memory of the Serb people.

"In the depths of the Ionian Sea lie Serbian soldiers who have no cross raised above their graves, but whose sacrifice remains deeply engraved in the memory of the Serb people," Karan posted on X.

Karan is in Greece for events marking 110 years since the Serbian army landed on Corfu and Vido.
