SIXTEEN BANGLADESHI WORKERS KILLED IN FACTORY FIRE IN RIYADH

BEIRUT, AUGUST 10 /SRNA – RIA Novosti/ – Sixteen Bangladeshi workers were killed in a fire that broke out at a furniture manufacturing factory in Riyadh, Al-Ghad newspaper reported, citing local officials.

The Bangladesh Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it was investigating the incident, adding that the Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh was in contact with Saudi authorities to arrange the transport of the bodies back to their home country, reads the report.

Bangladesh Minister of Labour and Employment Ariful Haque Chowdhury ordered that the process be expedited and that assistance be provided to the victims’ families.
