SIX ARRESTED FOR PLOTTING ATTACK ON SYNAGOGUE

PARIS, JULY 25 /SRNA–Reuters/ – Six people have been arrested and are expected to face charges for planning an attack on a synagogue in Paris earlier this month, France's counterterrorism prosecutor said.

The six suspects, whose identities have not been disclosed, were arrested after approximately 300 people were evacuated from the Paris suburb of Sarcelles on July 12, when a suspicious vehicle was found near a synagogue.

The prosecutor said the alleged plot was linked to Islamist extremism.
