MOSCOW, NOVEMBER 7 /SRNA – RIA Novosti/ - Russian forces struck military-industrial, energy, and transport infrastructure in Kyiv and the Kyiv region, facilities that were used to support the Ukrainian military, the Russian Ministry of Defense said.

"A massive strike was carried out using high-precision ground-based weapons and long-range unmanned aerial vehicles," the statement said.

The Russian military also struck a thermal power plant and an electrical substation in the Kyiv region, as well as the Meridian industrial plant in Kyiv, which manufactures the Flamingo operational-tactical and cruise missiles.

A dry cargo ship in the Black Sea that was delivering military equipment and dual-use cargo to Ukraine was also hit.

"The Russian military also struck a production facility for ammunition and explosives in the city of Brovary in the Kyiv region, which manufactures fuel components for operational-tactical missiles," the Russian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko earlier said that Russian overnight strikes had damaged energy facilities, as well as the city's Northern Bridge, which is used to transport weapons, military equipment and special equipment for the Ukrainian armed forces.
