RED WEATHER ALERT FOR THE SECOND TIME THIS SUMMER

PARIS, JULY 10 /SRNA - RIA Novosti/ - The Paris regional authorities have issued the highest level warning for extreme weather conditions for the secont time this summer, the first time in history that such a warning has been issued twice in one year, French media reported.

The authorities of the Ile-de-France region have declared two red weather alerts just three weeks apart.

Temperatures are expected to exceed 35 degrees Celsius over the weekend and a red weather alert will be declared in 24 departments in France tomorrow.

French Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu is chairing a new crisis meeting today regarding the extreme heat that has gripped the country.
