MOSCOW, MAY 28 /SRNA/ – Russian Federation President Vladimir Putin welcomed the participants of the first International Security Forum and stated that such representative global gatherings and direct expert dialogue are especially needed today, as the world is facing serious challenges.
“I know that the programme of your meeting is exceptionally comprehensive and informative. Over the course of several days, 25 thematic sessions, conferences, round tables, briefings and presentations will be held, comprehensively addressing key issues of regional and global security,” Putin said in a video address shown at the forum’s plenary session.
Putin emphasized that international terrorism, the risk of uncontrolled nuclear proliferation, extremism, drug trafficking and cybercrime today pose a serious threat to all states.
SNSD Leader Milorad Dodik will also address the plenary session, speaking on the topic “Challenges and Threats to International Security in the Context of Multipolar Order Formation”.
The International Security Forum in Moscow is ending tomorrow.
