PUTIN: I HAVE GOOD AND YEARS LONG RELATIONS WITH TRUMP

MOSCOW, October 1 /SRNA – RIA Novosti/ – Russian President Vladimir Putin says he has established a good, years long relations with US President Donald Trump.

"I am grateful to him for his efforts to resolve, let us say, the Ukrainian crisis. As I have said many times, and I am convinced of this, he is doing it sincerely," Putin said at the plenary session of the 23rd annual meeting of the Valdai Discussion Club.

Putin also said that Russia is grateful to First Lady Melania Trump for her humanitarian work during the conflict.

"We would very much like the factors that divide us to become a thing of the past and new prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation to emerge," Putin said.
