POLICEMAN INJURED IN CLASH WITH MOROCCAN FOOTBALL FANS

LONDON, JULY 10 /SRNA/ - A British police officer was taken to hospital after Moroccan fans clashed with police in London following Morocco's defeat by France at the World Cup, the Sun newspaper reported.

Riot police units were sent to Edgware Road to control the crowd.

Fans clashed with police and threw bottles and other objects at officers, RT reported.

The French national team defeated Morocco 2-0 last night, thus qualifying for the World Cup semi-finals.
