PEZESHKIAN: IRAN HAS LOST FAITH IN NEGOTIATIONS

DOHA, SEPTEMBER 26 /SRNA-RIA Novosti/ - Iran no longer has confidence in the negotiating process with the United States following attacks and sanctions, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said.

"We do not trust the American side and do not know on what basis an agreement with them could be reached," Pezeshkian told Al Jazeera.

He said Tehran was nevertheless continuing to send messages to Washington through intermediaries, Qatar and Pakistan, and expected the United States to clarify its position on a previously reached memorandum of understanding.

Pezeshkian added that he saw no need to meet US President Donald Trump because, he said, the Americans had failed to honor an earlier signed agreement.
