PESKOV: PUTIN TO HOLD TALKS WITH WITKOFF AND KUSHNER

MOSCOW, SEPTEMBER 5 /SRNA - RIA Novosti/ - Later in the day, Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet with US special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"There will be a meeting with the president, followed by talks, which, as a rule, have been fairly lengthy in the past," Peskov told reporters.

He added that the Kremlin would inform journalists on the outcome of Putin’s meeting with Witkoff and Kushner.

Peskov also said Putin had ordered a three-day halt to attacks on Kyiv as part of preparations for contacts with the Americans.

The spokesman added that there were currently no new ideas for resolving the conflict in Ukraine and urged against speculating about the outcome of the planned meetings.

The US envoys arrived in Moscow by plane today, Russian media reported.
