PESKOV: MOSCOW AND SRPSKA SHARE LONG-STANDING CLOSE RELATIONS

MOSCOW, SEPTEMBER 29 /SRNA/ - Russia has historic, traditional and close ties with Republika Srpska, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

Speaking to reporters, Peskov announced that Russian President Vladimir Putin would meet President Milorad Dodik and Republika Srpska Prime Minister Savo Minić in Moscow today.

The meeting is scheduled for 3.00 p.m. Moscow time.

Dodik said yesterday that the talks with Putin were expected to focus on future plans as well as a review of matters previously agreed upon.

During their two-day visit to Russia, Dodik and Minić met representatives of the academic community, while Dodik delivered a lecture to students at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations on "The Future of Cooperation Between Russia and Republika Srpska in the New System of International Relations".

During his visit to the university, Dodik also met its rector, Anatoly Vasilyevich Torkunov, to discuss cooperation in education and ways to further strengthen it.
