OPERATION AGAINST ISLAMIC STATE IN IRAQ OFFICIALLY ENDS

WASHINGTON, SEPTEMBER 30 /SRNA - RIA Novosti/ - The United States and its allies have officially ended Operation Inherent Resolve against the Islamic State in Iraq, Pentagon chief spokesman Sean Parnell said.

"Today, the United States and our coalition partners officially ended Operation Inherent Resolve in Iraq, in accordance with the joint US-Iraq statement of September 2024 and Washington's national interests," Parnell said.

He added that coalition forces had withdrawn from Erbil Air Base as part of the conclusion of the military mission in Iraq.
