OPEC PLUS TO INCREASE OIL PRODUCTION IN SEPTEMBER

LONDON, AUGUST 2 /SRNA–RIA Novosti/ – Seven members of the OPEC Plus group will increase oil production by 188,000 barrels per day in September compared with August levels, it was announced after the group's meeting in London.

The statement said the decision was made because the participating countries remain committed to supporting the stability of the global oil market.

The next ministerial-level meeting is scheduled for October 4.

OPEC Plus member states are Russia, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, Kazakhstan, Algeria and Oman.
