BELGOROD, AUGUST 6 /SRNA/ – Oil storage tanks at an oil refinery in Russia's Yaroslavl Region caught fire after debris from an unmanned aerial vehicle /UAV/ fell on them, regional Governor Mikhail Yevrayev said.
"Drone debris fell on the refinery's tanks. Emergency services are extinguishing the fire," Yevrayev wrote on Telegram.
He confirmed that the largest Ukrainian drone attack on the region to date had been repelled.
"Russian air defence and electronic warfare forces eliminated all 93 drones, and four people were injured," he said.
Russia's Defense Ministry said today that air defense forces had destroyed 605 Ukrainian aircraft-type drones over Russia overnight, RIA Novosti reported.
"During the past night, from 8:00 p.m. Moscow time on Aug. 5 this year until 8:00 a.m. today, air defense forces on duty intercepted and destroyed 605 Ukrainian aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles," the ministry said in a statement.
