NEW YORK, OCTOBER 30 /SRNA/ - Oil prices on the world market rose today amid growing concern over the possibility of renewed US military strikes on Iran.

In London, North Sea Brent crude rose 1.35 percent to $116.43 a barrel.

According to "The Wall Street Journal", US President Donald Trump spoke with the head of Central Command, Admiral Brad Cooper, about the next steps in the conflict with Iran.

The paper says the meeting between Trump and Admiral Cooper could mean that larger military action is imminent.

The "Axios" portal, citing US officials, says Cooper's briefing focused on the US blockade of Iranian ports and coastal areas.
