NORWAY'S KING HARALD V HAS DIED

OSLO, AUGUST 28 /SRNA - RIA Novosti/ - King Harald V of Norway has died at the age of 89, the Royal Palace announced.

The statement said the king died this morning at 6.35 a.m. at Oslo University Hospital.

The palace announced yesterday that the king's health condition had deteriorated in hospital and was "very serious".

King Harald /89/ was hospitalized on August 17. The palace announced that the cause was a bacterial blood infection.
