TEL AVIV, JUNE 16 /SRNA-RIA Novosti/ – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Iran will not possess nuclear weapons regardless of whether an agreement between Washington and Tehran is signed.
"I am fighting against Iran's efforts to obtain nuclear weapons. I can say that this is the mission of my life. I have upheld this position until now and will continue to do so in the future. With or without an agreement, Iran will not have nuclear weapons. Not today, not tomorrow. As long as I am Prime Minister of Israel, it will not happen", Netanyahu said in a televised address to the nation.
US President Donald Trump and Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi confirmed on Sunday that the final text of a memorandum of understanding had been agreed upon and is expected to be officially signed in Switzerland on June 19.
