MOSCOW, OCTOBER 14 /SRNA/ - Russia will continue cooperation with the United States on economic projects, the Russian President's Special Representative for Economic Cooperation with Foreign Countries Kirill Dmitriev said.
Speaking to journalists on the sidelines of Russian Energy Week, he said Moscow would explain to the Americans that US sanctions were harming the United States itself.
Dmitriev recalled that economic cooperation would continue in accordance with instructions from Russian President Vladimir Putin, noting that this involved more than just an agreement to allow Russian diesel fuel onto the market.
"There are numerous opportunities for economic and investment cooperation with the United States that would benefit both sides as well as global markets. We also see examples of US sanctions harming America itself, and therefore we will continue our cooperation and use concrete examples to explain why US sanctions primarily harm the American people and American farmers," said Dmitriev, who also heads the Russian Direct Investment Fund.
Russian Energy Week began in Moscow today and will run until Friday, October 16, TASS reports.
