PARIS, OCTOBER 6 /SRNA/ - More than 1,000 people were injured in France during large-scale protests by high school students, the Interior Ministry said.
The ministry said that 715 police officers and gendarmes were injured, along with 215 students and 85 education workers, Le Figaro reported.
According to the report, 6,059 people have been detained since the unrest began. Television channel BFMTV reported that 964 people were detained yesterday alone.
The Interior Ministry noted that legal proceedings have been initiated against 1,802 people, including 1,483 minors.
