MINSK HANDS PROTEST NOTE TO UKRAINIAN CHARGE D'AFFAIRES

MINSK, JUNE 18 /SRNA – RIA Novosti/ – The Belarusian Foreign Ministry has delivered a protest note to the Ukrainian charge d'affaires over a drone attack on a bus in Russia's Bryansk region, ministry spokesman Ruslan Varankov said.

Varankov told reporters that the Ukrainian charge d'affaires in Belarus was summoned on Wednesday and formally handed a protest note over the previous day's attack on a civilian bus carrying Belarusian citizens.

Acting governor of Russia's Bryansk region Igor Kovachluk said Ukrainian forces attacked a bus carrying a youth football team from the Belarusian city of Gomel as it was traveling near Bryansk.

One woman accompanying the team was killed in the attack, while six people were injured.
