KRAKOW, NOVEMBER 7 /SRNA/ - The attacker in Krakow was influenced by far-right ideology, Polish Interior Minister Marcin Kierwiński said.
Kierwiński said the attacker was a 25-year-old Polish man who is in critical condition after being shot by police, Sky News reported.
According to him, 16 people were wounded in the attack, including the suspect, five foreign nationals and two police officers.
"The attacker, a 25-year-old Polish citizen, used a long-barrelled military-style rifle and was wearing a military uniform. He most likely took the weapon from his family home.
Counter-terrorism police are searching his house," the minister said.
Six people were killed in the attack – four women and two men.
The attacker fired from a moving vehicle before being taken into custody.
Police earlier said that there were two attackers and that both had been taken into custody.
The first shots were reported near the city's main square at around 3 p.m. local time.
